Free Trail Data
The table below provides links to free section descriptions and elevation profile maps. Currently, only the data for BMT-South, Georgia (miles 0 - 80.2) are available here. See Hiker Resources Page for similar info on Section 11 (miles 80.2 - 91.3) in Tennessee and on the Smokies (miles 187.8 - 287.6). The remaining documents covering trail between the Georgia state line and the Smokies will be posted here as they become available.
Paper maps of the southernmost 91.3 miles of trail (sections 1 - 11) may be ordered from the BMTA Store, or there is a complete map set covering this range in the trail guide, Hiking the Benton MacKaye Trail by Tim Homan (Peachtree Publishers).
To open these PDF files, Adobe Reader may be downloaded using the link at the bottom of this page.
