November 14, 2026, GA-TN/NC Work Trip
The November 14th trip will be a combined GA and TN-NC Work Trip.
When: Saturday, November 14, 2026
Where: Sections 12a-b US 64 to Kimsey Highway
Time: 8:30 AM
Meeting Location: Thunder Rock Campground
Parking: Available at Thunder Rock Campground
Plan for the Day: We will meet at Thunder Rock, conduct our safety briefing, and depart for the trailheads. We plan to logout and brush out section 12a and 12b. This will involve crosscutting numerous blowdowns, brushing out the trail, and lopping overhangs which are mostly in the wilderness.
Crews: One crew will work north from US64 and one crew will work south from Kimsey Highway.
Bring/What to Wear: Water, food/snacks, gloves, long pants and boots with non-slip soles. Bring safety glasses, hard hats and hand tools if you have them. PPE will be provided for those without.
