Meeting Location: Meet at the Cherohala Skyway Visitor Center to meet other trail workers and proceed to the Wolf Laurel Trailhead

Meeting Location: Cherohala Skyway Visitor Center (at 8:00 AM) or Wolf Laurel Trailhead (at 9:00 AM), Wolf Laurel Trailhead, Joyce Kilmer Slickrock Wilderness Area (35.36408, -83.97833). The maps below show how to access the Wolf Laurel Trailhead from Beech Gap.
Directions
If you’re coming from the SOUTH, the maps below show how to access the Wolf Laurel Trailhead from Beech Gap.

If you’re coming from the NORTH,. Jason provided these coordinates (35.36448, -83.97829) and directions below.
Google Maps will take you most of the way. Once you reach the “end” of the Google Maps’ directions, turn north onto FS Road 81F. Stay right the whole time, driving 5 miles to the Wolf Laurel Trailhead. The Wolf Laurel Trailhead is at the end of FS Road 81F.
Planned Work: Brushing. Hopefully this is the last brushing trip we’ll have to do this year! Next we can focus on logging out and building trail structures)
Tools: Please bring McLeods, brush blades, and loppers, as this section of trail is primarily within both Citico & JKSR Wilderness areas. We have direct orders from our Forest Service director to not run power tools on this section of trail.
Bring/What to Wear: Plenty of water, lunch, snacks, gloves, long pants and boots with non-slip soles. Bring safety glasses, hard hats and hand tools if you have them. PPE will be provided for those without.
